The rally season for 2008 has come to a close. It was an interesting year. I had a conflict for the dates in Laconia. I have a church convention that usually runs the week after Laconia, but this year Laconia was a week late due to the calendar. I stayed in Florida (put up in the convention hotel) and sent my associate, Rush, to do the rally. Then we had two stages with full production in Sturgis and a full compliment of shows. When it came time for the Myrtle fall rally I learned that my regular venue was going cheap and having the bands bring their own PA. I was able to pick up another venue for the rally, so I was not out of work. Daytona fall rally seemed fairly normal until I picked up a second venue. This was a big help for both Rush and myself as the gig he was planning on fell through. And Daytona fall rally wraps up the season for me.
