The annual COG-Cocoa office Prayer & Praise conference was held at the Altamonte Springs Hilton Hotel February 5-7, 2009. I provided the sound reinforcement for the conference once again. This is the smallest of the four conventions with the COG-Cocoa office that I work each year. There was some concern about attendance for this event with the state of the economy, but the room was nearly full for the Friday evening service and the Service Saturday morning had nearly as many in attendance.
This past weekend was the 25th Annual Church of God of Florida-Cocoa Youth Convention. I have set up for this convention for many years. The convention opens with a concert by a known Gospel artist. The concert this year featured Canton Jones, a Gospel Hip-Hop artist from Atlanta. Speakers included Minister John Gray and Rev. Richard Beckford, the youth pastor of the New Life Fellowship Center.
